Ken is a highly respected attorney among colleagues and clients for his extensive knowledge of retirement plans, including 401(k) and cash balance pension plans. In addition to overseeing legal document drafting, Ken represents clients before the IRS and Department of Labor to remediate non-compliant plans. Ken also supports attorneys in ERISA litigation, as well as dealing with retirement plans in mergers and acquisitions.
Ken is a sought after speaker who has presented to a wide array of distinguished groups, including the American Retirement Association, the New York Institute of Taxation, the Tax Executives Institute, the New York State Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. In addition, Ken has contributed articles to many professional publications, including the Journal of Pension Planning and Compliance, Taxation for Accountants and Taxation for Lawyers, and he is currently contributing Tax Practice Notes on retirement plan topics for LexisNexis. His thorough competence and integrity have earned him a peer review AV© rating from Martindale-Hubbell©, the highest rating awarded for legal ability and professional ethics. Currently, Ken serves on the Board of the ASPPA Benefits Council of Greater Philadelphia and is a past president. He graduated with honors from the University of Rochester and received his law degree from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and before the United States Tax Court.
Outside the office, Ken has performed with many community theatre groups and serves on various boards of directors.
